Ethanol pilot
in Örnsköldsvik.

A unique test plant at which methods are being developed to extract ethanol from cellulose.

The plant is next to SEKAB’s main plant in Domsjö industrial area. At the roundabout at the southern approach to Örnsköldsvik, drive towards Domsjö. After approximately one kilometre, turn left at the signs to SEKAB. Follow the road for roughly 500 metres. The SEKAB building is on the right.

We welcome study visits but you need to book a time in advance. In Domsjö industrial area we work together via Processum and Framtidens Bioraffinaderi, which can give you a presentation and demonstrate developments in the entire biorefinery.
